The origin of the Spanish saddle takes place in the Middle Ages. It derives from those that already existed in other European countries. Different schools of equestrianism in Europe use it to perform exercises and exhibitions of dressage and arena. For this reason, it is a school saddle or reference, being widely used today. Another of its characteristics is that it is designed to be used for long periods of time.
